Badische Zeitung: "Ni Hao in Freiburg"

As a young boy, Helmut Matt loved to play around with his parents' old-fashionad radio. "Fiddling around a bit I could listen to different countries' radio stations", says the now 48 year old. Native to Herbolzheim, he listened to stories from Radio Moscow, then to English news from Japan, and in between to the voice of Vietnam. At some point he found Radio China International and got hooked. He listened and learned a lot.
